Cyprus West University was founded in 2015 in Famagusta and teaches in English across engineering, aviation, business, logistics and psychology, with an MBA at postgraduate level.

Courses

• Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences — Civil Aviation Management, Business Administration, Tourism and Hotel Management, Logistics, and Psychology (Psychology is taught in English and Turkish)
• Faculty of Engineering and Architecture — Computer Engineering, Information Systems Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• Faculty of Health Sciences
• MBA at postgraduate level

Entry requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent secondary qualification
• English: IELTS Academic 5.5, TOEFL iBT 72, PTE Academic 59, Duolingo 95, or Cambridge B2 First 160–162
• Applicants without one of these sit the university’s own English Proficiency Exam — 60% or above starts the degree directly
• Below 60% means the English preparatory programme first, placed by level

Intakes

Fall and Spring, with a Summer School. On the calendar the university has published, the Fall semester began in late September and Spring in mid-February. Dates are set each year, so we confirm the current ones.

Documents and attestation

An English language certificate, a passport or ID copy, and the high school diploma — or a university diploma for postgraduate entry — along with the student visa documents needed for the residence permit. EU citizens do not need the visa documentation.

Worth knowing before you commit

• Cyprus West University is in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as its own website states. The other institutions we represent are in the Republic of Cyprus, which is an EU member and joins Schengen in January 2026. Northern Cyprus is neither, so entry rules, travel within Europe and how a qualification is recognised all work differently. That is not a reason to rule it out, but it is a decision to take knowingly rather than discover afterwards, and we will go through it with you.
• The university does not publish programme lengths, so we confirm those directly for your chosen course.
