UK visitor visa — at a glance
Checked on the official pages on 30 September and 3 October 2026: GOV.UK fees and timing, British-Irish visa scheme. Where offered, you can pay extra for Priority (£500) or Super Priority (£1,000) on top of the visa fee; GOV.UK says the decision can still take longer, and if it does you will not usually get that money back. UKVI’s visa processing times page says: “You should not book your travel until you get a decision on your visa application.” Documents not in English or Welsh need a certified translation (see the supporting documents guide).
