Kyungdong University Global (KDU Global) runs its international programmes on the Global Campus in Goseong-gun, Gangwon-do. Undergraduate and graduate courses are taught entirely in English; a separate Korean-language pathway (KAP) is open to students who do not yet hold an English test score. Applications are handled through KUAC (Korean Universities Admission Center) in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, and this page sets out what KDU’s own 2026 admission guidelines and programme flyers say.

Courses

Undergraduate — 4 years, 100% English-medium:

• International Business Administration
• International Hotel Management
• Smart Computing
• Artificial Intelligence
• Korean Business – Artificial Intelligence (KB-AI) — combines AI modules with Korean business practice and language study

Graduate (Graduate School of Business and Technology Convergence, 100% English-medium): MA International Business Administration · MA International Hospitality and Tourism Management · MEng Artificial Intelligence and Data Science — each on a Research track (4 semesters, about 2 years) or a Coursework track (5 semesters, about 2.5 years), with 15-week semesters and classes one day a week. Graduation needs at least 30 credits: 9 core, 12 major elective and 9 convergence elective.

Korean Language for Academic Purposes (KAP): a language pathway for students without an English test score, working towards TOPIK Level 3. Ten weeks per term, four terms a year, classes 9:00am–1:00pm Monday to Friday. Enrolment runs six months to two years, and KDU accepts KAP applications all year round, outside the fixed intake dates.

Entry requirements

• English: IELTS 6.0, or TOEFL iBT 71 (for tests taken in 2025 or earlier), or New TEPS 327, for direct entry to undergraduate and graduate programmes
• Apostilled colour copies of academic transcripts and certificates — never send originals; two full sets are needed, one for the university and one for the visa
• A TB (tuberculosis) certificate, because India is on Korea’s high-risk list
• A family relationship certificate, or a birth certificate plus parents’ passport copies
• An original bank certificate and 6-month bank statement, in the student’s or a parent’s name (siblings only in unavoidable cases), issued within 25 days of the final admission start date
• Graduate applicants also submit a Personal Statement and Study Plan

Intakes

Degree programmes (undergraduate and graduate): March and September each year. KAP (language): March, June, September and December, with applications accepted year-round outside these fixed dates. Application, interview, payment and visa-submission deadlines for each round close months ahead of the start date and are revised most years, so we confirm the live dates for your target intake before you apply. Documents and attestation

Academic transcripts and certificates need an apostille on colour copies — never on the originals — and two full original sets are needed, one for the university and one for the visa file. Anything not already in Korean or English must be translated into English and notarised in the country where it was issued, and every document must be no more than three months old. Add a TB certificate from a Korean-embassy-nominated hospital, a family relationship certificate (or a birth certificate and parents’ passport copies), and the bank certificate with a 6-month bank statement. Once submitted, none of these documents are returned.

Worth knowing before you commit

KDU awards an entry scholarship based on your English test score, and a continuation scholarship from the second semester based on academic results — both set out as percentages of tuition in KDU’s own 2026 scholarship policy:

• Entry, by English score: IELTS 5.5 → 30% of tuition · 6.0 → 50% · 6.5 → 70% · 7.0 or higher → 100%
• From the 2nd semester, by GPA (undergraduate): 75–79% average → 30% · 80–89% → 50% · 90–94% → 70% · 95% or higher → 100%; master’s students earn 50% at 80–89% and 70% at 90% or higher. Attendance must stay above 80% to keep any award.
• The university dormitory is compulsory for at least one semester after arrival; the fee is due before the final admission letter is issued and is never refunded, even if a student is later expelled from it.
• KAP (language) students cannot take any paid work for their first six months in Korea, and need at least 90% attendance to qualify for part-time job assistance afterwards; they sit an official language exam every term and must move up to a degree programme once they reach the required level.
• No transfer to another university is allowed during the period stated in the offer letter. If a transfer is later approved, any scholarships already awarded must be repaid, and no fees are returned.
• Visa-submission deadlines are strict: KDU’s own guideline states that if the visa file is not submitted by the deadline, the government admission system automatically cancels the final admission letter.
• KDU’s own flyers use guarantee-style language in places — the Korean Business – AI flyer heads with “Guaranteed Employment” though its text only says graduates “are directly placed” in jobs after on-the-job training, and the graduate flyers describe “guaranteed professional career placement services” alongside internships and study-abroad opportunities at partner universities in Australia, Canada, USA, Europe and Asia. We do not repeat that guarantee wording: no institution can guarantee a job, a visa or an admission outcome.
• Applications go only through KUAC (Korean Universities Admission Center) in Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, not directly to the university.
